Does Weatherford College offer resources to aid local businesses?
MJ: Yes, there are many ways the college can help businesses in our area. First, we offer contract training. Many times, this is in the form of computer-related training. We often bring this training to the business rather than the business coming to the college campus. We can also provide CEU (continuing education unit) training for most professions. We also offer Spanish classes to businesses who want to train their workforce. The college would appreciate the opportunity to visit with any area businesses to discuss how we can provide specific training for their employees. WCM: What does the future hold for the college in Wise County? MJ: The future is very bright. Some of the programs the college is considering are Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN), Registered Nursing (RN) and a Welding Technology certificate program.
