Does WinDriver support a laptops CardBus slot using the PCI driver?
Yes. You can use the WinDriver PCI tool-kit and API to develop a CardBus driver, as explained in Technical Document #94. Note that on Plug-and-Play (PnP) operating systems, you need to generate and install an INF file for your device in order to successfully handle it with WinDriver (you can use the DriverWizard to generate the INF file, as explained in the WinDriver documentation). The INF file will register your device to work with WinDriver’s kernel driver (windrvr6.sys, or windrvr.sys – in v5.2X / wdpnp.sys/wdusb.sys – in previous versions).
