Does WWE switching One Night Stand to Extreme Rules have anything with WWE going PG?
Yes, WWE changed the name of their One Night Stand pay-per-view to Extreme Rules because of their PG rating and because they are gearing their product more towards children. I am actually not against the name change as One Night Stand was developed as “one night” where the company brought back ECW; however, that is not the case anymore. I’m guessing with a pay-per-view name like Extreme Rules there are going to be a lot of hardcore bouts, but we’ll see as the time draws closer to the show. Have you heard of possible WrestleMania 25 opponents for Triple H? From what I have been told (and reported on WNW Premium), Triple H has been pushing for a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. Obviously if he gets a title match and Edge retains at No Way Out, Edge is a possible opponent. I also heard that The Undertaker’s name was thrown around as a possible opponent for Hunter but nothing has been confirmed.
