Doesn’t this tie the hands of our elected officials and prevent them from addressing new needs of citizens?
Not at all; this measure, if passed, will simply require that our elected representatives exhaust all other solutions including cutting old and outmoded programs, inefficiencies and unnecessary spending and programs before seeking to increase taxes. This measure will assist our elected officials in making decisions to eliminate programs that are no longer beneficial and require that they prioritize spending just like families must do with their limited incomes.
