Any clean rag is quite well for cleaning small amounts of toner out of your printer, plain-paper fax or photocopier. If the amount of toner and paper dust is a little more abundant, use a can of compressed air to try to blow any visible piles of dust and debris out of the machine. Keep in mind that after blowing the debris out of the printer, the next several pages you print out will usually have some of that debris on them. This is natural and will disappear in short order. A shop vacuum or other vacuum with a small nozzle will be able to suck up any dust, paper debris or stray toner that is inside your machine. Although non-toner vacuums are not recommended for this purpose for large-scale remanufacturing operations, they will work just fine for the average individual or office wanting to clean their equipment on an infrequent basis.
