Every time I start my program, if Im not at Absolute Zero on the X and Y Axes, my ProtoTRAK changes the current machine position to Absolute Zero. How can I avoid this?
If you have an original ProtoTRAK, you may upgrade it for a ProtoTRAK Plus. Click here for a flyer that describes the differences. Otherwise there is not a control upgrade available for the ProtoTRAK or ProtoTRAK Plus that will use the existing ballscrews and drives. We changed the design on the hardware many years ago and our new systems are not compatible with the old hardware. If your machine is still in good shape, you may want to consider buying a new retrofit ProtoTRAK EMX CNC. This will be a complete system.
