For Wiccans/Witches: do spells and rituals work better if they are stock-like out of a book-or totally unique?
Writing your own spells and rituals always works better, no matter what! But, if you choose to use spells and rituals that are already written, make sure they are a reputable source. You want to make sure that any aids such as words, chants, the names of any deities called, herbs, crystals, ritual tools, etc, are representing things that they actually represent (also, as far as herbs go, some can be poisonous if improperly used). If you write your own spells, make sure you use aids in a proper manner. The most important thing is to understand that rituals, and especially spells, are simply energy manipulation, and any sort of “recipe” for the spell or ritual isn’t really going to work anyways unless you understand the point of the things you are doing, and do it whole heartedly. For this reason, it is better to write your own spell or ritual, because then you will be more apt to put a lot of effort into understanding what you are doing, doing it in a whole-hearted way, and knowing wher
