Going forward, what are the three most important challenges for a global leader in the T&D business?
Our challenges are very much aligned with those of our customers. We have a mandate to provide solutions that help them solve their challenges. The first challenge is to deal with energy efficiency. Our future products and solutions have to bring value to our clients in terms of energy efficiency. They have to bring down T&D losses and have to allow new functionalities that increase the use of existing networks. Typical examples are low-loss transformers, smarter energy management systems and several power electronic applications, all of which boost energy transfer in existing lines. Secondly, ensuring electrical network stability. Increasingly, network stability and blackout mitigation will become more important features. New and more intelligent applications will add value to our clients by increasing the quality and speed of analysis and decision when piloting the network. Real-time analysis will become a state-of-the-art technology. Thirdly, complexity of grids and integration of d
