Actually they like to be right where all the activity is, they love TV and adore music. If you are using a hay rack just refilling it is OK. It is best to throw out the unused pellets as they often have gotten water on them form the guinea pigs mouth and are not of good quality I think it is best to wash out their bowels daily, there is a lot of stuff written out there about guinea pigs that is just not true. And be sure to give them at least 1/2 cup of dark green leafy veggies daily and fruit only every 3 days.

1. You should rinse he food & water bowls once a week, the same time you clean their cage. 2. No!!! Guinea Pigs and all other rodents are VERY sensitive to sound, that’s horrible! Put him/her in your room, basement, no where where there’s loud music and TV’s. 3. Throw away the old hay. A clean and sanitary home is a happy one 🙂 4. Nope. Your little Guinea Pal will come back and eat later. Leave the food in the bowl. 5. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ TIP: When you clean your Piggies cage, always take a hose and clean the cage that wat. Take everything out, clean them and the cage, put the shavings in, and put your piggie in. You will have SO MUCH less stink!!

1.) Yes, if not, the food bowls can get pretty nasty and they need fresh water every day. 2.) No, they are very sensitive and all the noise will make them very stressed out. http://www.guineapigcages.com/location.h… 3.) Throw out old hay they haven’t eaten weekly. Or if it’s soiled, then of course you would throw it out. 4.) No, unless they are very old and the guinea pigs have knocked them over in their cage or they are soiled. 5.) It’s a waste and the guinea pigs will usually eat all the pellets.
