Has anybody made the M E beam engine from Reeves drawings?

I have not made said engine, but an internet search found some interesting (though not necessarily useful) information. For example, Brunell sells a set of “construction notes” in addition to the plans (at an additional charge) http://www.brunell.com/product.asp?numPa… Since I haven’t built the engine, I’m just guessing here, but in the picture at: https://vault1.secured-url.com/reeves200… isn’t the rod to the left of the center column the feed pump drive? It could be that the number of holes in the piston housing is at the builders discretion, as long as all the parts that mate are the same it may make little difference, though it would seem that 8 would be stronger, and possibly a little easier to lay out .
