Last Easter I had dealings with a company called Communications Direct, or Direct Communications, I forget which. I ordered a mobile phone from them on approval, but the phone was stolen from the delivery van before I received it. When it failed to arrive they said it must have done because it was being used. I perservered and eventually they told me about the theft. In the meantime, I received a bill from 3, the network provider, for over £300 phone usage in 1 month. I then explained to 3 that I would not be paying the bill, as I had never had the phone in my possession and to contact Direct Communications. 3 insisted it was my responsibility, as the bill was in my name. I contacted Direct Communications repeatedly, only to be told that they were waiting for information from their insurers and to not cancel the phone contract or do anything to affect its usage until things were sorted with the insurers. I explained that this was of no use to me, as I was being billed for use of the ph
