Has the decision to opt for a second ATS Formula 3 Cup season been the right one?
To be honest, we prepared for the Euro Series nearly throughout the off-season. But then, Volkswagen offered us the ATS Formula 3 Cup deal. Even short before the season opener I wasn’t sure. But that changed quickly. It was the perfect decision and I can advice every young driver to not make the next step too quickly. Thanks to the ATS Formula 3 Cup I attracted a lot of attention in Belgium and all over Europe – even the attention of companies and sponsors. Having won the ATS Formula 3 Cup title definitely will prove to be extremely helpful for my future. Do you think advancing to a higher series as champion makes a difference? Most definitely. Last year, only a few people knew me. That has changed, now. Quite obviously, this doesn’t mean that everybody in the motor-racing world has heard of me but I think that a lot of people know my name due to my successful 2009 season.
