Has the prostitution industry been effected by the credit crunch?
There will always be punters who can afford to see girls on a very regular basis without worrying financially, but for those who are feeling the financial pinch – they are still visiting escorts but less frequently. It is harder for the married men to explain away £100 on a one hour punt with the credit crunch, they just syphon a few quid away a week and make the appointment a luxury not a necessity as they did before, say once a month rather than once a week/fortnight. There is a significant increase in women becoming independent escorts on certain websites, although their prices are lower than girls were charging a year ago for example, and many pre existing escorts are doing special offers or reductions as an incentive to punters.
