Has the support for older releases of Java on the Solaris platform changed since Java for Business was announced?

Yes. During the first year of the Java for Business program, Solaris customers were able to obtain copies of Java for Business binaries via their Solaris support subscription. Starting in June 2009, the only Java for Business releases available to customers are updates to the version of Java that was included with a given release of Solaris. If customers need access to other Java for Business releases or if they would like technical support for their business use of Java on Solaris platforms, then they must sign up for Java for Business support.
