Have a 2004 vw golf. can faulty coil packs cause damage to exhaust system?
Say the faulty coil packs led to improper spark, which led to incomplete combustion of the fuel, and that unburned fuel, over a long period of time, was accumulating in the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors, (components of your exhaust system,) then yes it can eventually do some damage to your exhaust system.
