Have to create invention that has a function and includes a simple machine – HELP!?

I have a couple of different suggestions for the science project using some of the 6 simple machines. I am not sure if the project will allow you to use a complex machine or not. A complex machine is a machine which uses two or more of the simple machines in a system. If you can use a complex machine system then here is my suggestion: Use an inclined plane (called an incline in the picture) and a pulley. The incline can be a flat piece of wood or thick cardboard proped up on something. Sit the high end of the incline next to a flat surface with a height equal to the top of the incline.
