If you have tried simple trouble shooting, and you still can’t get it working, (e.g. you are getting error messages like “Client Service not responding”), the easiest way of fixing the problem is to un-install and re-install the client. To un-install the backup client, go to Start => Control Panel => Add/Remove Programs. From here, select “Veritas NetBackup Professional Client” and click add/remove. A wizard will then be shown, asking what you would like to do. From here, you will be able to un-install the backup client. After the client is un-installed, you will be prompted to reboot – do so. After the reboot, remove the folder C:\Program Files\VERITAS NetBackup Professional and all it’s contents. This will have completely removed the backup client from your machine. To re-install the backup client, you can re-run the Client Installation program. This will still be on your hard disc after the first install in the folder C:\NBP_Client3pm.
