You should also look at the Acer Aspire One. It has a 120 gig Hard Drive compared to tha Asus eee with a 12 gig SSHD. I have the Acer and I am very happy with it.

I enjoy having mine. The EEE PC is such a small, portable, and able PC. Really depends on your needs. I’ve got a EEE PC (2g) with a 500 MHZ Celeron and half a gig of Ram. I play Starcraft, n64 Emulators, and other low end games on it, and I can use MS Word, and stuff on it too. On the small 2 GB SSD Drive, I’ve got a nLited version of Windows XP. (I’ve got 4 GB SD card + 4 GB USB Stick) in total of 10 GBs of usable HD Space. (1.5 GB Swap Space via Eboostr). Even for gaming, it shouldn’t be a problem. The GMA should be able to take care of casual gaming, up to CS:S. People have been known (using the 4G+ models) to overclock the 900 mhz celeron to over 1 Ghz, and upgrading the ram to 2 GBs. (not possible on the 2G). The newer models have even faster CPUs (ie. Atom 1.6 ghz). They’re a charm. They do have stripped DVD drives, so you’ll need to buy an external.
