We have taken the option to charge for the collection of garden waste to reduce the cost of waste collection as far as possible. Options available to all the District’s residents for the disposal of garden waste include the following :- A. You can take your garden waste to the civic amenity sites at Pyke Quarry, Horsley or Hempsted, Gloucester – disposal to householders is free. Your garden waste will then be composted. B. You can compost your garden waste at home – we sell compost bins at a very low price through several outlets throughout the District. See links below for further information.. C. You can use our chipping service – the service is designed around community chipping events. The material that is shredded is left with you to compost at home – this service is provided free of charge. D.
