Hi Carla, it depends how XP was installed. Was XP installed as a second operating system or was it installed on top of Windows 98?

Hi Carla, it depends how XP was installed. Was XP installed as a second operating system or was it installed on top of Windows 98? If you still didn’t install XP yet, you may use the Windows XP CD to do the install. Check to see if it’s a full install CD or just an upgrade CD. If it’s an upgrade it should mention it on the CD. If that’s the case (upgrade CD install of full install CD) then you MUST have Windows 98 or some Windows operating system installed in order to install XP. The upgrade CD will not work from a computer with no Windows installed. The full install CD will though. Kevin.
