Hotel service fee included with final price?

I know that at the hotel I work for we don’t charge a room deposit charge. We do require a credit card for incidentals when people book on third party websites like travelocity. With the third party websites you prepay for your hotel room when you book that online, you also typically pay a booking fee at that time too. The hotel’s “service fees” are included in the price you pay with travelocity. The additional charges a hotel could charge you would be the incidentals, room service, long distance calls, etc. Contact the hotel you are booking after your reservation is made and ask them about any additional charges that may be charged during your stay.

room service and any movie orders, etc. should be included in the final price. Not all hotels have a deposit charge, i find that only the more expensive ones do to see if you can afford it.

If you are booking a hotel in Vegas, before booking on Travelocity, check this site http://www.smartervegas.com/ I usually don’t find rates any better than these, and they take you directly to the hotel to book so there are no extra fees and all service fees would be included in the cost. For example, Excalibur charges a resort fee of $5 per day, and that includes Maid service, phone calls, 2 free drinks, and fitness center use.
