How Are Ice Storms Formed?
Ice storms are formed when ice accumulates as a result of rain freezing on the earth’s surfaces which lie at the below than the freezing point. This process usually occurs because of general weather patterns. In those regions, the amount of ice produces is higher as compared to the rain because of very low temperatures. Freezing rains or ice storms usually occur when warm air passes over the region whose ground level or ambient temperature is falls quite sharply below the freezing point. They cause lots of destruction and result in freezing of plants, electricity and all the resources present in those areas.
