How are immunizations entered into Composite Health Care System II-Theater [CHCS II-T (AHLTA-T)]?

In AHLTA-T, the role “imm_admin” and “Imm_Tech” must be given to a medic in order for them to either set up or administer shots. The central repository for this information is MEDPROS. However, MEDPROS does not allow tracking of manufactures or lot numbers like can be done in AHLTA-T. It allows the Immunization admin to create a refrigerator and track what medications they have in stock, as well as establishing a standard route and dosage. Just because the information does not go to TMDS does not mean it should be discounted. Not all sites in theater have stable communications to support regular MEDPROS updates. There is also the ability to print the Standard Form 2766-C (Record of Immunizations) for a Soldier if the unit was not able to get MEDPROS updated. This way, the Soldier would not be forced to repeat an immunization upon redeployment.
