How are injectable medications covered?
Specific injectable medications listed on our Specialty Pharmacy medication list are covered through your prescription drug benefit, provided your plan includes coverage for specialty pharmacy products. These products must be obtained through Caremark Specialty Pharmacy and may be subject to a higher copayment or coinsurance. Other injectable medications are excluded from the pharmacy benefit but may be covered under your plan’s medical benefits.
