How are local communities involved in the process?
FPL is committed to a long-term partnership with the communities in which our facilities are located. As part of our siting process, we hope to identify community involvement opportunities that begin now and continue throughout the life of the project’s licensing, construction and operation. Public meetings and hearings will be held in the region to receive comments from residents. FPL will also host workshops locally to share information and maintain a dialogue with neighbors and interested parties so that we can address community interests and priorities in a meaningful way.
