How are MIQUEST queries tested by PRIMIS+?
Once the specifications have been agreed, queries are prepared and tested on our ‘dummy’ systems at PRIMIS+ and the live systems of the PRIMIS+ clinical advisers. Following any amendment, the query sets are sent to the system suppliers for them to test, and they send us feedback. We also have a number of facilitators who test query sets on live systems in their own practices. The e-audit queries have been thoroughly tested in over 50 practices to ensure that they are technically correct, clinically sensible, and clearly demonstrate data quality issues, as well as being discriminatory between practices with good and poor data quality across a wide range of measures.
