OracleAS Portal is a partner application of OracleAS Single Sign-On (SSO), known as the Login Server in previous releases. OracleAS Single Sign-On allows users to be authenticated to the Oracle Application Server, and gain access to any application for which they are authorized, without requiring them to re-enter a user name and password for each application. OracleAS Single Sign-On is fully integrated with Oracle Internet Directory, which stores user information. The Oracle Internet directory is an LDAP V3 compliant directory and supports the provisioning of both users and groups within a Directory Information Tree (DIT).
