HOW ARE THE XTR SURFBOARDS BUILT?

0

Epoxy Pro manufactures XTR foam and we keep blanks in stock for all the shapers that work with us. After the order is received, depending on the shaper, is it either hand shaped or cut on a CNC shaping machine according to your personal specifications. Sometimes we need to deliver the blank to the shaper for the fine tuning and final touches. After that it comes back to Epoxy Pro where we glass the blank using Epoxy resin (XTR-16) and then after the board is sanded, we oven-cure for 6-8 hours at 140’F. Finally the board gets the “Thermovents” and is ready to get in the water; you don’t need to wait for curing anymore.
