How can a woman obtain contraception through the Medicaid Women’s Health Program?
Contraception, except emergency contraception, may be provided through a Class D pharmacy or a provider may write a prescription. Once a woman is certified in the program, she will receive a Women’s Health Medicaid Identification form that she can present at a local pharmacy with a prescription or she may continue to receive contraception through a provider Class D pharmacy.
