We understand that fulfilling 10, 25, or 35 practicum with individuals seems like an insurmountable task for those who enter our program and are not currently doing any type of counseling. Each student is assigned clinical supervision who will assist you in meeting this NCCA requirement. You will be instructed on how to plan and approach your practicum studies from among volunteer subjects, such as: family members, friends, acquaintances, or Bible study groups, etc. These are called “teaching” practicums, and will give you some very good interaction in applying the learned therapeutic model as well as your ability to provide some general recommendations to reduce stress and anxiety.
