Using PRO600 v4.1 or earlier, the TAG CODES tool can be used to attach feature codes to DGN data that is otherwise uncoded. The TAG CODES tool can operate on individually picked features or on selection sets. For attaching codes to multiple features, the use of selection sets is more efficient, assuming data can be classified according to its level, symbology or type. Before creating the selection set, the desired feature code should be activated. A selection set can then be created in a various ways: 1. If the data can be classified according to level alone, then the simplest is to use the MicroStation level display to turn off all levels except the one containing the elements that should all be tagged with the same code. The elements can be selected either by dragging a box around them whilst in element selection mode, or by picking Edit -> Select All from the MicroStation menus. 2. If the level alone is not sufficient to classify the data, then use of MicroStation’s Select By Attrib
