Computer usage is tracked by most operating systems. In addition to “cookies,” or tags that apply to the general trends of your Internet searching, your computer will save copies of all web pages visited. It is rather simple to find a record of this history and delete some or all of it. While there are a variety of different computers and operating systems, there are simple procedures for each. Log on to your browser. Common browsers include Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari (for Apple users). Make sure to open a new window. You will need to access the toolbar (the top screen that offers options like File, Edit and Bookmarks). Click on History if you are using either Mozilla Firefox or Safari. Click on Clear All History if you are using a Safari browser. Your history files from all searches on Safari are now deleted.
