How can I display Xterms, SPSS windows, etc, on my PC?
First, you will have to get an X-Windows server set up on your PC. Many people are using Xceed for Windows, or MacX for the Macintosh to do this. Next, you will have to set your DISPLAY variable as above, to your desktop PC. The command should look something like this: setenv DISPLAY your.machine.here.umich.edu:0 This command should have your machine’s name, or IP number in it before the colon (:).
