How can I do ATC with FSHost?
Unfortunately, the built-in ATC in FS2002 and FS2004 can’t be activated in multiplayer mode. And the ATC features in FSX only work with multiplayer sessions in FSX or on the GameSpy servers. However, a lot of people run multiplayer games with live ATC provided by real humans, using other programs. Many people use FSNavigator with FS2002 and FS2004 sessions in FSHost, and it works quite well. Unfortunately there is currently no version of FSNavigator that will run in FSX or as a standalone program. One way around the FSX problem is to let the pilots fly in whatever version of FS they want (FS2002, FS2004, or FSX), and then the ATC controller can connect to the FSHost session using FS2002 or FS2004, with FSNavigator loaded.
