If you are using EndNote 7 or earlier, you will need to first download the most current version of the PubMed filter, as their Medline format has changed since these versions of EndNote were released. The updated filter is available here: Download new “PubMed (NLM)” filter for Windows / Macintosh. Save this file to the Filters folder, within the EndNote folder on your computer, and replace the existing filter with this one when asked. Follow the steps below to download your search results from the PubMed website and import them into your EndNote library. These steps refer to the PubMed navigation bar on their website, illustrated below: • Go to the PubMed website in your web browser. The address is http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez. • Execute your searches to obtain search results (Select “Clipboard” from the “Send to” drop down in the PubMed navigation bar to save records from multiple searches as you work).
