How can i get high voltage from a 555 astable switch and a car ignition coil?
Like some others I am unsure by your 555 astable switch but basically the car ignition coil produces a high voltage when the 12v circuit is broken. This is what the ignition system on the car does at the correct time for the spark plug to spark. If you just want something to continually create a high voltage spark, I would suggest using a relay so that the relay coil is in parallel with the ignition coil and the power is switched through a “normally closed” contact. If you are stuck on the 555 timer thing then you just need to create a contact that closes and opens to apply power to the ignition coil.
