How can I get one Excel workbook to feed information into another Excel workbook?
The only way to accomplish this ( for relatively beginner users) is if both files are on the same machine which you are accessing the file. You will need to place it on a server, or you will need to allow access to your computer as a server. Open both workbooks. In the cloned (the workbook you wish to broadcast) in cell A1 (where A1 represents the top most and left most area of your data) type the “=” (equals) sign and then click on the Original workbook and cell A1. Hit the enter key. Now hit the Up Arrow key. Hover over the grip in the bottom right corner of the cell (your mouse symbol will turn into a “+” plus sign and click and hold. Drag this cell down as many rows as you need and release the left mouse button. You have just created a Column of selected (Highlighted) cells. Repeat above steps to grab the grip on the last cell in the Column and drag this accross as many cells as you like.
