Stata has an excellent FAQ here. Essentially, Stata requires text data files for import, and these text files can be written from SAS, Excel, or other programs. Comma-delimited file work best. We also own a license for Stat/Transfer. This program is installed on the public terminal in the library. 14. First, there are two quad-core workstations which are used for computing-intensive jobs such as long Stata runs and ArcInfo calculations.
