How can i increase my chances?
Some say if you have sex with a ‘cut off’ (meaning having sex 3-4 days before ovulation and then stopping) you may increase your chances of conceiving a girl. This is because the male sperm, although faster swimmers, do not live as long as female sperm. So, the theory is if you do it a few days before you ovualate, by the time you do, hopefully all the male sperm will have died off, leaving the female sperm to fertilise the egg. The female sperm are slower swimmers, but live longer. I think it depends on what your environment is in your body (your cervical fluid/reproductive tract). IT is either acidic or alkaline. Male sperm love an alkaline environment, but can’t cope as well in an acidic environment. Whereas, female sperm survive longer in an acidic environment as they are hardier.
