How can I keep Sophos software updated on remote computers?
Remote computers are assumed not to have direct, permanent access to a CID over a LAN and therefore, Sophos Anti-Virus (SAV) cannot necessarily update itself regularly. Sophos recommends installing Remote Update on such computers. This allows them to update SAV from a CID via an HTTP or UNC connection. Remote Update is a separate application within the Enterprise Manager suite of products. The CIDs from which Remote Update updates SAV should be maintained using Enterprise Manager (EM Library and EM Console).
