How can I make a BORING essay topic sound more interesting? :(?
i tool i like to use (and use with gusto) is sarcasm and irony. attack the topic from an unlikely angle. The humor in the irony makes the topic seem more fun (and if your professor has fun reading it you are more likely to get a higher grade–granted that you don’t make grammatical errors.) as an example. I wrote a paper in high school about which school rule i hated most–i chose uniforms and argued that students should be aloud to attend school naked. of course it isn’t exactly the same as your topic, but try throwing a bit of irony and sarcasm in ur essay and it will make the whole thing more fun. remember not to use first person or give opinions, use your research and create irony out of how u present the information.
