We would recommend encoding all audio files in mp3 format. We would recommend encoding in mono at 64kbps (unless stereo is essential). It is always prudent to check the quality of the encoded file before uploading! There is an open source sound editor called Audacity which can be highly recommended although one must also download the LAME mp3 encoder separately.
