How can I re-install PowerPoint legally without a disc?
Depending on how the software was installed, there may be backup files left behind from the initial installation. These backup files are used whenever you install a needed component of Office, for instance Speech Recognition (it is not installed by default). If you are lucky, the backup files may contain a full version of the installer and you can use it to reinstall part of the Office suite. Go to Add/Remove programs in Control Panel. Select Office 2007 and click Change. At the installer screen, select Add or Remove Features. Deselect Microsoft Powerpoint. Click Update. Microsoft powerpoint will be uninstalled. Once it is done, all you have to do is to reverse the process by selecting Powerpoint again and clicking Update. Addendum: If it asks you for a disc and you don’t have it, do the following.
