How can I retake a course in the semester system after failing it in the quarter system?

A. You should make every effort to take the course again before Fall 1998. If you fail a course during Spring Quarter 1998, and you want to take the course again, you should plan to attend the summer session to take the course if it is offered. In cases where you cannot repeat the course before the conversion, you should consult the head of the department in which the course is offered. If there is a semester course that is equivalent to the quarter course previously taken, you must enroll in that course. If the quarter course previously taken is not being continued after conversion, the department chairperson can designate another course to serve as substitute for the quarter course, or another alternative might be permitted.
