How can I save a backup file or transfer my savefile between computers?
Nowadays there’s no need in using USB or any other storage devices. Most of the games bought on legit marketplaces, like Steam, save game progress via clouds or on marketplaces’ servers. The problem with savings may happen only with flash games because they are simple and little. But they are still interesting. I play personally https://snailbob.io/snail-bob-1.html. 1) Play. 2) Look in your chat.kongregate.com folder for “giabGCLSaveData.sol”. The folder’s location varies by your OS: For XP, it’s C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\(random string)\chat.kongregate.com For Vista and 7, it’s C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\(random string)\chat.kongregate.com Thanks for the info Chimto! I do not know where exactly the chat.kongregate.com folder is on a mac. 3) Copy that file to your backup drive (eg flash drive, or another safe folder on your hard drive). Backup is created and safe! 4) If you want to transfer that savefile (or reupload your old savefile if it got wiped), load the game once. 5) Copy the giabGCLSaveData.sol file to the chat.kongregate.com folder, overwriting the old one. Done!
