How can I set email protocol when adding an email account?
We have an internal database of mailservers addresses, so you are not required to enter protocol, port or hostname information. If your email provider is not on our list, we have an automatic function of discovery which in most cases will detect for you the correct settings for your account. By default we look for for imap services. If not found we check for pop support. The secure versions (pop3s/imaps) of these protocols are preferred when available.
