How can I stop craving sugar and sweets?
Hi, there! Here are some suggestions from me regarding cravings for refined (processed) carbohydrates (this includes sugar). Quality protein eaten five or six times per day (in the amounts specified below) will speed up your metabolism and in the process curb CARB CRAVINGS. So, rather than eating 3 main meals per day take the same amount of food and divide it into 6 smaller meals per day. EACH meal must contain at least 15 grams of protein for a female (or at least 20 grams of protein for a male). In addition, make sure that the proteins are quality proteins from natural (unprocessed) sources. When digested, all carbs are sugars. So, think of eating carbs as eating sugar. Eating refined (processed) carbohydrates will trigger cravings for more carbs. Eventually, it can become a carb addiction.
