How can I tell the difference between the standard and Polaris models?

0

The Polaris looks the same as standard but they are wired differently because they are un-amplified and do not require an amplifier which is why the Polaris style will not work with the amplifier. The Polaris version plus into the “Headset” port rather than through the “Handset” port. There are 2 ways to tell the difference. 1. The date code is different and will usually (not all) start with the letter “P” 2. The cable that comes with the Polaris has a Smokey grey color modular plug while the standard cable has a clear modular plug.
