How can i train my dog to attack or guard on command?
First thing is to have your dog obedience trained, by you, to a very high level. Before you undertake ANY guard dog training your dog must be under incredible control and has to be 100% reliable to all normal obedience commands in all daily circumstances and locations: Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Heel, etc. Any dog that is not 100% reliable to those commands is not ready for guard dog work. So if you want a protection dog…your first goal is to get obedience training for you and your dog and start working on obedience ASAP. Find a trainer who specializes in preparing dogs to do protection work. You’ll need an expert trainer in this area because doing it on your own could be dangerous to you and your dog. However, your dog can NEVER EVER nip or bite or put teeth on another human just for being touched. A good protection dog should be friendly and NON-aggressive.
