How can I train my puppy to not bark at strangers and dogs while out on a walk?

Dogs bark when they are nervous or uncomfortable. The little guy needs more socialization! By this I mean he needs to spend more time around strangers and other dogs to get more comfortable. This is why he gets better farther along in the walk; he becomes more comfortable with his surroundings! Keep taking him to dog parks, friends houses, daycare, ect. He is still so little so there is absolutely no need to punish him like others said above me!! He just needs to get comfortable going on a walk around others and more socialized and he should be fine. My puppy is 5 months old now and I had the same trouble with her in the beginning! Once he’s socialized he’ll be the sweety on a leash that he is in the dog park!
